Sumpitan village clinic and quarters 90pc destroyed in fire
The Sumpitan village clinic in Kampung Sumpitan, Lenggong, Perak was about 90 per cent destroyed in an early morning fire. The Class B building housing the clinic and staff quarters caught fire around 4am, and a Proton Preve was five per cent damaged. No victims were reported and the fire was brought under control at 4.50am.

A village clinic building and a quarters in Kampung Sumpitan near Lenggong, Perak were destroyed in an early morning fire. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 4.04am and the blaze was fully extinguished by 6.24am. No victims were reported, but a Proton Preve car was also damaged.

Man's body found in locked car in Bandar Sri Botani, Ipoh
A man believed to be around 30 years old was found dead inside a locked car in Bandar Sri Botani, Ipoh, early Tuesday morning. Fire and rescue personnel had to remove the body from the vehicle, after which he was pronounced dead by Health Ministry staff. The body has been handed over to police for further action.

Over 2,000 residents in five Serdang villages plagued by flies, stench from chicken farm
More than 2,000 residents from five villages in Serdang, Bandar Baharu, Kedah, are facing disturbances from flies and foul odors allegedly originating from a nearby poultry farm. Residents claim the problem has worsened over the past three years and are urging authorities to take firm action against the operator.

Motorcyclist killed, another injured in crash on North-South Expressway near Taiping
A 20-year-old motorcyclist died after his bike skidded and hit a lorry at Kilometer 235.3 of the North-South Expressway near Taiping. Another motorcyclist, aged 29, broke his leg in the incident yesterday evening. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
