Shop assistant charged with injuring wife in Gong Badak
A vehicle spare-parts shop assistant pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court to causing grievous hurt to his wife on 5 September. Wan Noorazmilrullah Wan Noorabiddin, 37, was charged under Sections 325 and 326A of the Penal Code, and the court set 8 October for document submission.

Firefighter in Kuala Terengganu Suffers Breathing Difficulty After Putting Out House Fire
A firefighter from the Kuala Terengganu Fire and Rescue Station experienced shortness of breath and numbness after extinguishing a fire that destroyed one house and damaged two others in Taman Perumahan Teluk Pasu, Kuala Terengganu, last night. He was treated at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital and has been discharged. No fatalities were reported.

A 72-year-old woman in Perumahan Teluk Pasu, Kuala Terengganu lost her home in a fire that broke out at 7:10 pm. The entire house was destroyed with losses estimated at over RM300,000, but several copies of the Quran kept in a cupboard were found unharmed.

Man arrested for locking wife and children in Kuala Terengganu home
Police in Kuala Terengganu arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly assaulting and unlawfully confining his wife and four children inside their home in Desa Mutiara, Jalan Gong Badak. Officers had to cut padlocks to free the family after the victim made an emergency call. The suspect, who has prior offences, has been remanded for four days.
