Court adjourns Shahrir Samad's lawsuit against Tommy Thomas for settlement talks
The Kuala Lumpur High Court has adjourned the trial of Shahrir Samad's lawsuit against Tommy Thomas and three others until September 9 to allow for settlement negotiations. Shahrir is suing them over the prosecution of a case involving a RM1 million cheque he received from Najib Razak.

Appeals court cuts Puchong businessman's jail term for assaulting wife to 5 years

Two former THP Bina executives charged with criminal breach of trust
Two former senior executives of THP Bina Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Haji, pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to charges of criminal breach of trust and abetment involving RM72,000 in penalty collections. They were accused of misusing funds collected from a contractor for the Putrajaya Islamic Complex project between 2013 and 2015.
