Community umbrella racks have been set up at two bus stops along Jalan Kayu Road in Singapore, letting residents borrow an umbrella and return it later. Lee Hsien Loong joins 7.5km community walk, 79 children get $50 in Ci Yuan Day event
Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong joined a 7.5-kilometre community walk around Ang Mo Kio and Hougang on 13 September, covering 14 Residents' Network centres. He said the government will keep helping residents cope with difficulties in an uncertain world. Over 1,000 residents attended the main Ci Yuan Day event at Ci Yuan Community Club, where 79 children received $50 in toy money under the Bag-to-School programme.

Amanah rejects UMNO's push for early polls, wants full term served

Deputy minister urges men to help curb domestic violence
Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Lim Hui Ying said men must be part of efforts to tackle violence against women, especially domestic violence. She spoke at the Aku Wanita@KRT advocacy programme and PRISMANITA Johor 2026 open day in Johor Bahru. She stressed that efforts to end violence cannot be seasonal.
