OTH Tampines offers free lunchtime motorcycle parking for Friday prayers
Our Tampines Hub (OTH) has provided free motorcycle parking during weekday lunch hours since 2024, benefiting congregants of Masjid Darul Ghufran, especially for Friday prayers. The hub doubled its motorcycle lots from 68 to 143 and is working with LTA and URA to add more, aiming to reduce illegal parking near the mosque.

Two lanes on Loyang Ave closed overnight for emergency water pipe repairs
Motorists on Loyang Avenue in Singapore face heavy traffic as two lanes are closed for emergency repairs following a water pipe leak. The closure, between Block 149 Pasir Ris Street 13 and the Pasir Ris Drive 1 junction, is expected to last until the morning of Sept 4. PUB is investigating the cause of the leak, and water supply to homes and businesses is not affected.

Two men were charged in a Singapore court on Sept 3 for allegedly driving against traffic while under the influence of etomidate. The incidents occurred separately in Jurong West and Choa Chu Kang, with no injuries reported in either case.

Joo Chiat Road section to go car-free on Oct 3 for World Car-Free Day
A section of Joo Chiat Road between Dunman Road and East Coast Road will be closed to traffic on Oct 3 from 3.30pm to 9.30pm for World Car-Free Day. The Land Transport Authority announced the closure on Sept 2, marking the first time the annual event will be held outside the Central Business District.
