Ranau residents fear road works threaten water sources
Residents of several villages in Ranau, Sabah, are calling for an immediate inspection of suspected road construction and land-clearing at Bukit Hampuan, Mile 4, Jalan Mamut. They fear the activities could harm gravity-fed water sources and the Sungai Mansahaban catchment, risking muddy floods and erosion.

Kampung Petarikan market upgrade in Merapok 80 per cent done, says Awang Tengah
The Phase Two upgrade of the Kampung Petarikan market in Merapok, Lawas, is about 80 per cent complete and is targeted for completion by the end of September. Deputy Premier Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the improved facilities must be used and maintained by the community, and he also inspected the completed RM1.67 million SK Merapok education project during his visit.
