PERKESO benefits for dependants of two Long Lellang crash victims
Two of the five people killed in Tuesday's helicopter crash at Long Lellang, Miri, Sarawak were PERKESO contributors, so their dependants qualify for monthly benefits. The pilot's family is eligible for RM5,355 a month and the medical officer's husband for a RM1,574.10 monthly pension, the Human Resource Ministry said. The other three victims' records did not meet the eligibility requirements.

UNIFOR allocates RM340,000 for church upgrade and pastor's house in Long Iman
The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) has allocated RM270,000 to upgrade the BEM Long Iman Church and build a new pastor's house. An additional RM70,000 was approved to complete the remaining upgrade work. The funding is part of the Sarawak government's commitment to provide good facilities for places of worship in rural areas.

Sarawak Unifor channels RM2.04 million to five churches in Mulu area since 2017
A total of RM2.04 million has been channelled by the Sarawak government's Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) to five houses of worship in and around Mulu National Park since 2017. Deputy Minister Datuk Gerawat Gala announced the figures at a programme held at the Mulu Marriott Resort on Sunday, where cheques were also handed over to two of the churches.
