Tamparuli LLC Bridge repairs near completion, reopening in early October
Repair works on the Tamparuli Low Level Crossing Bridge in Sabah are about 90 per cent complete and it is expected to reopen to the public in early October. The bridge was closed early this year after subsidence, and support pillar repairs are finished while surface works and gantry installation continue.

Kundasang tourism group seeks review of Federal Route 22 traffic data
A Kundasang tourism association has urged the Federal Government to reassess traffic conditions along the Tamparuli-Kundasang-Ranau-Lohan corridor, saying the 2024 census rating of Level of Service A does not match the congestion seen during school holidays and festive seasons. Its chairman also wants clarity on funding and timelines for alternative alignments under Phase Two of the Pan Borneo Highway.

Sabah cement supply to recover by mid-September after plant repairs
Cement supply in Sabah is expected to return to normal by mid-September. This follows the completion of repair and maintenance works at the Cement Industries (Sabah) plant in Teluk Sepangar, which had caused a supply disruption.

Projects on track
The Chief Minister of Sabah visited the site of the 20.8 km Serusop-Pituru Pan Borneo Highway project in Tuaran. The project is on track, with the 682-metre bridge over Sungai Sulaman expected to be completed by December next year and the full highway by July 2028.

Serusop–Pituru Pan Borneo package on track, Sungai Sulaman bridge ready by Dec 2027
Construction of the 20.8-kilometre Serusop–Pituru Pan Borneo Highway package (WP09) in Tuaran, Sabah is progressing well. The 682-metre bridge across Sungai Sulaman is scheduled for completion by December 2026, with the overall RM465 million package slated for completion in July 2028. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor visited the site on Sunday to inspect progress.
