Teen motorcyclist dies after crashing into road barrier in Beaufort
A teenage boy died on Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed into a road barrier along Jalan Kampung Betanduk towards Kota Klias in Beaufort, Sabah. Police received a report at 8.14pm and confirmed the victim died at the scene. In separate incidents, police detained a man for drug possession in Kampung Nukahan and a woman for illegal gambling in Papar.

Father tells coroner's court daughter would have been in permanent coma had she survived
The father of Zara Qairina Mahathir testified at the Kota Kinabalu coroner's court that doctors told him his daughter would have remained in a permanent coma had she survived. He described her critical injuries and his experience at Queen Elizabeth Hospital before she died on July 17 last year. The inquest into the 13-year-old's death continues.

Two men charged in Kota Kinabalu court over 50kg syabu trafficking
Two men were charged in the Magistrate's Court in Kota Kinabalu with trafficking 50kg of syabu. The alleged offence took place in front of a restaurant in Penampang. A third man was separately charged with trafficking cannabis in Putatan.

Prison officer dies in Beaufort motorcycle crash; two held for drugs
A prison officer was killed in a collision with a Perodua Axia on Jalan Beaufort-Papar near the Lumat junction on Thursday morning. In a separate incident, police detained two men at Kampung Gana, Membakut, with one found in possession of suspected syabu.
