310 cable theft and telecom vandalism cases reported in Perak
Perak recorded 310 cable theft and telecommunications network vandalism cases from January to June this year, with Kinta district reporting the most. State communications committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi said 125 cases have been charged in court and 67 investigation papers opened, while a state telecommunications security committee has been formed with MCMC, police and the state legal adviser. A community awareness programme will be held on 28 September in Kinta.

Man Kuda Gang busted: Four suspects arrested in Taiping and Kulim
Police have arrested four suspects believed to be members of the Man Kuda Gang in Taiping, Perak and Kulim, Kedah on August 30. The gang is believed to be involved in 14 robbery and car theft cases across Perak, Kedah and Penang, with losses estimated at RM200,000. Police also seized six stolen cars and various tools, and are still hunting three more suspects.
