5,000 acres in Beaufort proposed as paddy granary
A 5,000-acre area stretching from Kampung Indomadi to Kampung Sungai Padas in Beaufort, Sabah has been proposed for gazettement as a paddy granary. Sabah Assistant Agriculture Minister Datuk Ruslan Muharam said the area could be developed with modern farming methods to raise rice output and strengthen Sabah's food security. He also inspected a 500-acre site in Kampung Indomadi proposed as a sago palm area.

PDRM seeks support to secure permanent site for Keningau GOF battalion
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun has called for cooperation to expedite the acquisition of a permanent site for the 21st General Operations Force (PGA) Battalion in Keningau. The move is to facilitate the construction of complete facilities and infrastructure for the battalion, which is among new units established to strengthen national security.
