Captain Zainol Afiq laid to rest in Senawang
The body of pilot Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, was buried at the Senawang Islamic Cemetery in Forest Heights, Seremban, at about 6pm. He was one of five killed when an Air Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crashed and burned near Long Lellang Airport in Sarawak last Tuesday. The bodies of four other health workers were sent to Kota Bharu, Miri and Kuching for burial.

The remains of Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, a victim of the helicopter crash in Sarawak, arrived at Bandar Baru Senawang Mosque in Seremban at 4.20pm today. Family, friends and the public gathered to await the arrival, and he is expected to be buried at the Forest Heights Muslim Cemetery after funeral prayers. 472 foreigners detained in Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu
Kuala Lumpur Immigration detained 472 foreign nationals in an integrated enforcement operation at Lebuh Pudu, Kuala Lumpur today. About 2,500 foreigners were checked in the operation that began around 11am, involving nationals from Bangladesh, Myanmar, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, China, Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia. Those detained will be placed at the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further investigation.

1,600 join Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 at Balai Berita Bangsar
About 1,600 participants took part in the Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 organised by Kelab Media Prima at Balai Berita Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, today. The 3.5km and 5.5km runs drew participants of all ages including people with disabilities, and were attended by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Adam Naufal Amril, 15, of SMK Manjalara, Kepong, was the first to cross the finish line in the 5.5km category with a time of 20 minutes.

Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu nets 472 undocumented foreigners
An integrated operation at Lebuh Pudu in Kuala Lumpur today detained 472 foreigners suspected of lacking valid documents after about 2,500 people were checked. The raid also uncovered premises believed to be a prostitution centre and a clinic run by a fake doctor. All those detained were taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further action.

The status only surfaced when she tried to sell the premises, and she now faces a transfer penalty to the Selangor state government.
