600 kg of Quran ash released into sea off Langkawi
A total of 600 kilograms of ash from Quranic texts and materials was released into the sea near Telaga Harbour Park, Langkawi. The program, organized by Masjid Al-Falah Kampung Padang Kandang, aims to dispose of old or damaged Quran manuscripts in a proper manner according to Islamic law. The ashes were released about 15 nautical miles from the coast with the assistance of a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency patrol boat.
