2. Man fined RM1,700 for illegal lottery

   A 51-year-old man was fined RM1,700 by a court in Ranau, Sabah, for possessing a slip with four-digit numbers linked to an unlicensed public lottery. The offence occurred in September 2024 near Block C of Bangunan Koisaan in Pekan Ranau.

3. Two held, 27 bottles of ketum water seized

   Police in Ranau, Sabah arrested two local men in separate raids and seized 27 bottles of ketum water during an anti-drug operation in a village. The suspects are being investigated under the Poisons Act 1952.
