Longhouses that never applied for MRP funds in Kemena to be identified
In Bintulu, Sarawak minister Stephen Rundi Utom said longhouses that have never applied for Rural Minor Project (MRP) funds will be identified so they too can receive government aid. At a cheque handover at the Bintulu Agriculture Department office, 89 recipients received RM1.23 million in MRP allocations. He also said longhouse meetings must be held at least four times a year with minutes sent to the District Officer.

Aaron: Unity needs understanding, not just tolerance
National Unity Minister Aaron Ago Dagang said unity in a plural society cannot rely on tolerance alone, but must be built through understanding, respect and cooperation. He said this while officiating the Malaysia Pastoral Convention 2026 at a hotel in Sibu today. The convention runs from 9 to 13 September and brings together about 850 Catholics from nine dioceses.
