Three tonnes of catfish spill onto road in Besut after lorry hits hump
A lorry carrying three tonnes of African catfish hit a road hump in Kampung Padang Luas, Besut, causing its rear gate to break and the fish to spill onto the road. Members of the public helped collect the fish and return them to the driver; no fish died, though some were injured. The fish were being transported to a newly opened fishing pond near Pelagat for a competition on Sept 19.

JANM adopts SK Belimbing as MADANI 2026 adopted school
The National Accountant's Department (JANM) has adopted Sekolah Kebangsaan Belimbing in Tanah Merah, Kelantan under the Sekolah Angkat MADANI 2026 programme. JANM provided 22 Android Smart TVs and eight air-conditioners, installed in stages from 13 June. Captain Zainol Afiq laid to rest in Senawang
The body of pilot Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, was buried at the Senawang Islamic Cemetery in Forest Heights, Seremban, at about 6pm. He was one of five killed when an Air Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crashed and burned near Long Lellang Airport in Sarawak last Tuesday. 30 inmates at Machang Rehabilitation Centre join tahfiz programme
Thirty inmates at the Machang Rehabilitation Centre in Kelantan are enrolled in a structured tahfiz programme, with two having completed memorising all 30 juzuk of the Quran.
