Hoan Gallery launches 'Under Sarawak Skies' with 100 artworks on Sept 16
Hoan Gallery at La Promenade Mall in Kuching will launch the 'Under Sarawak Skies' exhibition on Sept 16, featuring over 100 artworks by more than 30 regional and local artists. The exhibition runs until Nov 8 and includes a documentary preview, workshops and public programmes. It is supported by the Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Ministry.

Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian opened the fifth Borneo Illustration and Creative Festival (BIC 5) at Aeroville Mall in Kuching. AIM25 makes history in Sarawak, exclusive on TVS
The 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM25) will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Sarawak on 26 September, the first time in its 25-year history it is staged outside Peninsular Malaysia. Two new categories, Best Borneo Song and Best Festive Song, have been added to the 32 main categories. TVS will broadcast the event live and exclusively, including the red carpet and post-event press conference.

The Hari Malaysia 2026 exhibition is being held at the Main Atrium of Plaza Merdeka, Kuching from 10 to 16 September, presenting the history of Malaysia's formation through the Corridor of the Era of Malaysia's Formation concept. The Lien Heng Cup-Lien Heng Lion Dance Open Championship 2026 will be held on Sept 26 and 27 at The Hills in Kuching, offering RM25,500 in prizes including RM8,000 for the champion. Kuching South mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said at least 23 teams from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore are expected, with organisers targeting 30.
