Cancer survivor given 30 days to live in 2018 now runs Yishun noodle stall with wife
Chen Yongseng, 48, was diagnosed with terminal nose cancer in 2018 and given 30 days to live. After 37 rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, his cancer went into remission, and he now runs Xiao Wen Ban Mian noodle stall at Block 504 Yishun Street 51 with his wife, Awen.

10 local businesses join Ang Mo Kio pilot to test new strategies
Ten new local businesses have joined a pioneering initiative in Ang Mo Kio to test new business strategies. The businesses, located in the Sprout@AMK temporary retail cluster, are part of Enterprise Singapore's 12-month Heartland Innovation and Transformation (HIT) programme. The initiative is supported by Enterprise Singapore, HDB, the Ang Mo Kio Merchants' Association and the Singapore Local Enterprise Centre.

Seniors National Games participation in Singapore rises over 30% to 6,000
More than 6,000 seniors took part in the second Seniors National Games in Singapore, a jump of over 30% from the inaugural edition. The Games, held at OCBC Arena, featured adaptive sports like disc golf and boccia, with an 85-year-old participant and her daughter competing together.
