MADANI Kita programme reaches 17 locations nationwide this year, including Gopeng
Seventeen MADANI Kita (PMK) programmes will be held nationwide this year, run jointly by J-KOM and the Prime Minister's Department's PACU. J-KOM director-general Mohd Hisyamuddin Ghazali said the programme began on 27 June and has so far been held in Chuah, Kota Raja, Sepanggar and Simpang Pulai. The tour continues next week in Bayan Baru, Kuantan and Gopeng, where the event at Dewan Orang Ramai Rapat Setia targets about 2,000 visitors.

Zahid lets man with 'Justice for Najib' placard onto UMNO 2026 stage
At the UMNO General Assembly 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi allowed a man carrying a 'Justice for Najib Razak' placard onto the stage during his closing speech. Zahid also expressed sadness over the Pardons Board's decision to postpone Najib Razak's pardon application, and UMNO hopes it will be considered at a future meeting.

SPA denies blocking walk-in nurses from leaving after contract ends
Public Services Commission chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus said no restrictions are imposed on nurses hired through walk-in interviews who want to move to the private sector or work abroad once their contracts end. He said SPA's focus is now on a replacement plan to recruit new staff. He spoke after officiating the Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat programme and the SPA MADANI 2026 adopted-village project handover at Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Chenein, Sungai Siput.

Bersatu Kuala Kangsar loses deputy chief and eight branch heads
Kuala Kangsar Bersatu division deputy chief Datuk Adly Shah Ahmad Tah and eight of the division's 11 branch leaders have resigned from the party. The division now has only three branches left, and its secretary Abd Hadi Sabri has also quit. More than 100 members attended a press conference in Kuala Kangsar to back the decision.

Kuala Kangsar Bersatu deputy chief, eight branch leaders quit party
Kuala Kangsar Bersatu division deputy chief Datuk Adly Shah Ahmad Tah and eight of the division's 11 branch leaders announced on Friday they are resigning from all party posts and leaving Bersatu. The branches involved are Bunga Raya, Ulu Kenas, Sayong Lembah, Bendang Kering, Senggang, Jerlun, Bukit Residen and Lempor, leaving the division with only three branches. Division secretary Abd Hadi Sabri has also resigned, and over 100 members expressed support for the decision.

115 BERSATU Kuala Kangsar members quit, nine branch chiefs resign
A total of 115 members including part of the BERSATU Kuala Kangsar division leadership announced they are leaving the party effective today, involving nine of 11 branch chiefs. Perak: residents' associations need approval before hiring security guards
Residents' associations in Perak cannot appoint or train security guards for Community Security Schemes without approval and compliance with regulations. State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Sandrea Ng Shy Ching said the state is focusing on education and giving associations time to correct shortcomings before enforcement. She also clarified the difference between gated and guarded communities and the rules on public road access.
