Housewife admits robbing, injuring aunt with golf club
A housewife pleaded guilty at the Batu Pahat Sessions Court to hitting her 71-year-old aunt with a golf club during an attempted robbery at a house in Taman Manis 2, Parit Raja. Nur Arisha Harmira Abd Halim, 28, was charged under Section 394 of the Penal Code and granted RM8,000 bail. The case is set for mention on Oct 23.

Man remanded for peeping at stepdaughter, molestation in Parit Sulong
A 43-year-old man was remanded for three days at the Batu Pahat Magistrate's Court for allegedly peeping at his 22-year-old stepdaughter while she was bathing. The investigation also uncovered a molestation incident against the victim in April 2022. The suspect was arrested at a car wash on Jalan Tanjung Laboh.

Johor govt to cover full treatment costs for toddler mauled by stray dogs
The Johor state government will fully cover the medical and recovery costs for two-year-old Nur Haira Wafiqah Muhammad Hamizi, who was seriously injured after being attacked by five stray dogs in Kampung Tambak, Peserai, Batu Pahat last Saturday. State religious committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khaled made the pledge after visiting the child at the PICU of Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) in Johor Bahru.
