1. Lorry driver charged with killing four in LPT crash, hearing held at Temerloh hospital

   A lorry driver, Zulkarnain Md Noh, 52, was charged with killing four people in a crash involving 11 vehicles at KM110.3 of the East Coast Expressway on Aug 31. The charge was read at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Temerloh, where no plea was recorded. The court set Nov 12 for mention.

2. Ex-childcare worker charged with abusing toddler in Mentakab

   A 26-year-old former childcare assistant, Nor Ain Ashikin Husin, was charged at the Temerloh Sessions Court with abusing a two-year-old boy at a centre in Taman Keramat Indah, Mentakab, on Aug 11. She pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of RM5,000. The case is set for mention on Oct 14.
