31 undocumented Indonesians deported via Penang airport
A total of 31 undocumented Indonesian immigrants were sent back to their home country through the Penang International Airport (LTAPP) yesterday. They had been detained at the Belantik Immigration Depot in Kedah and had completed their sentences under the Immigration Act 1959/63 before the repatriation process.

Six arrested in Malaysia over drug syndicate tied to co-pilot's Jakarta arrest
Police arrested six local men between Aug 20 and 28 for suspected involvement in an international drug trafficking syndicate linked to a Malaysian co-pilot arrested in Jakarta. Four of the suspects had fled to Thailand and Vietnam but were arrested upon their return at Kuah jetty, Langkawi, and Penang International Airport. All six are detained under the Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985.

The Kedah Immigration Department repatriated 31 undocumented Indonesian migrants through Penang International Airport under the Rentan Programme. The group, which had completed sentences for immigration offences, was sent back to Indonesia with sponsorship from the Indonesian consulate in Penang.
