Health DG: Trauma care needs all-party approach
Health Director-General Datuk Seri Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab said trauma management in Malaysia must be treated as an integrated national system involving government, the private sector, NGOs, academic institutions and communities. He spoke at the Malaysian Trauma Conference in Georgetown, Penang, today. He also cited the National Trauma Transformation Conference Tour 2025-2026, held at six regional locations nationwide.

Penang Hospital is expanding its queue management system to ease congestion at its General Surgery Clinic. The new system will allow patients to monitor their queues via smartphone. A new Women and Children's Block, expected by 2027, will also free up space for the clinic's expansion.
