In Kampung Batu Putih, Marang, entrepreneur Nur Nadirah Syuhadah Rahmat generates RM6 million in annual sales from nisan kerek-based products and now employs 51 workers. In Kampung Raja, Besut, batik maker Afizah Shaidi introduces wax-coated cardboard blocks to replace copper blocks, while a keropok lekor maker in Losong keeps his recipe and prices unchanged.

McDonald's holds Piknik Famili Terbesar at Pengkalan Chepa and Pantai Batu Buruk
McDonald's Malaysia held its Piknik Famili Terbesar @ Mekdi at two East Coast locations, Pengkalan Chepa in Kelantan and Pantai Batu Buruk in Terengganu, on 5 September. The event offered free meals, traditional games, a children's fashion show and the Mekdi mascot, and introduced the new Ayam Goreng McD Rasa Ori menu.

Dusit Princess Ipoh hotel to open on 1 October, offering 268 rooms near city centre
Dusit Hotels and Resorts will open the 268-room Dusit Princess Ipoh on 1 October 2026. The hotel, owned by Plenitude Berhad, is located near the Perak Turf Club, about five minutes from Ipoh city centre and 10 minutes from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport. It features five room categories, an outdoor pool, a kids club, and a fitness centre.
