NAFAS, Chinese Firms Sign RM1.5b MoU for Integrated Fertilizer Industry
NAFAS signed a five-year strategic MoU valued at RM1.5 billion with Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute to develop an integrated phosphate fertilizer industry in Malaysia. The agreement, signed at MAHA 2026 in Serdang, also covers raw material processing and supply guarantees. NAFAS also signed other MoUs and agreements on Thursday with a total investment value exceeding RM121 million.

MAHB, China partners sign MoU for fast-track clearance of Malaysian durians at Chinese customs
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has signed a tripartite MoU with China Henan Aviation Group and Tropika Makmur Manufacturing to explore a fast-track scheme for Malaysian durians to clear customs in China within three to four hours. The initiative, announced at MAHA 2026 in Serdang, would link KLIA and Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport.

The National Farmers Organisation (NAFAS) signed a five-year MoU with China's Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute at MAHA 2026 in Serdang. The RM1.5 billion collaboration aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser industry, including a raw-material processing facility and long-term supply agreements. The signing was witnessed by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu.

Pineapple entrepreneur association expands SG1 cultivation area
The Pertubuhan Pengusaha Nanas SG1 Malaysia association was inaugurated at MAHA 2026 in Serdang, Selangor, with the aim of expanding SG1 pineapple cultivation to 2,000 hectares within six years. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security stated the target aligns with its goal of reaching RM2 billion in pineapple exports by January 2028.
