Public raises RM100,000 in four days for Penang busker's wife cancer treatment
In Bukit Mertajam, Penang, well-wishers raised RM100,000 in four days to fund cancer treatment for the wife of visually impaired busker Robert Maidin, known as Uncle Robert. Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim's team organised a charity mini-concert at Jit Sin Independent High School that raised over RM46,000, with Sim topping up the rest to reach the goal. Robert's wife's breast cancer has spread to her lungs.

Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh and Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan visited the family of missing climber Muhammad Muhaimin Azhad Noor Hadi in Gelugor, Penang, offering support and donations.
