Umno open to cooperation but refuses to be tied to any party

UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi met Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) at about 4pm today. The meeting was to get an explanation over Ismail's claim that he was forced to sign a Proclamation document related to the Negeri Sembilan State Constitution. UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani and several other leaders were also present.

Akmal: UMNO Youth reps who underperform will not be renominated
UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh said elected representatives from the wing who underperform, put personal interests first or are hard to reach will not be renominated in the next general election. Speaking at the UMNO Youth General Assembly 2026 at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, he also announced the wing will adopt the five-year-old child of the late Maran UMNO Youth division chief Mohd Radzi Rahimi, with RM36,000 placed in an SSPN account.
