Akmal: PH forced Umno to weigh PAS cooperation
Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh told the wing's assembly at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur that Pakatan Harapan repeatedly forced Umno to choose between power and principles, which pushed the party to explore cooperation with PAS. He cited the Selangor pig farming controversy as an example of PH ignoring royal views. His remarks follow deputy president Mohamad Hasan's call for Umno to rely on its own strategies rather than PN, PAS or PH.

The Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) officially opened its new global secretariat house in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. The facility, relocated from Tokyo, Japan, will serve as a regional hub for parliamentary action on issues like population ageing and gender equality. The secretariat house was developed at a cost of RM958,930.
