Jonah proud to help UM win gold at SUKIPT, breaks games record
National shot putter Jonah Chang Rigan expressed satisfaction after winning a gold medal for Universiti Malaya (UM) at SUKIPT 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. Jonah won the men's shot put with a throw of 18.22 meters, breaking the games record, but had to settle for silver in the discus event.

National sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi aims to improve on his bronze medal from the 2023 Asian Games at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asiad. Danish Iftikhar wins double sprint gold at SUKIPT 2026
At the SUKIPT 2026 games at Arena Universiti Malaya, national sprinter Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee won his second gold medal by breaking the meet record in the men's 200m with a time of 20.77 seconds, following his 100m gold the day before.

Shawn Roshan Singh of Universiti Malaya broke the SUKIPT 2026 games record in the men's 1,500m at Arena UM in Kuala Lumpur, clocking 4:03.43. The previous record of 4:05.11 was set in 2016.

At the SUKIPT 2026 athletics finals at Arena Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, UPSI's Danish Iftikhar and Fatin Ilyana won the men's and women's 100m titles, with Danish breaking the games record twice. Both will represent Malaysia internationally next.
