Puad claims Zahid wants snap GE16 because he wants to be PM
In Johor Bahru, former Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi claimed Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi wants the 16th general election held soon because he is eager to become prime minister. He said Umno believes it is at peak strength and can form a government on its own, and alleged there was a difference of views between Zahid and deputy president Mohamad Hasan at the 2026 party assembly.

Marina Ibrahim appointed YSIJ special officer for Johor Orang Asli
Former Skudai assemblyman Marina Ibrahim has been appointed as a special officer for the Orang Asli community in Johor under the Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ). The appointment was announced by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi at the closing ceremony of the national Orang Asli Sports Carnival at EduCity Sports Complex, Iskandar Puteri.
