Pulau Burung landfill in Nibong Tebal catches fire again
A fire broke out at the Pulau Burung solid waste landfill in Nibong Tebal, Penang, late last night. The blaze covered an area of about 36 metres by 27 metres and was brought under control at 12.30am before being fully extinguished around 5am. Seventeen firefighters from four stations were involved, and no casualties were reported.

Penang City Council catches 3,368 pest birds last month
The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) caught 3,368 pest birds, including 1,996 crows and 1,372 pigeons, at several locations in George Town last month. The council also destroyed 114 crow nests as part of its ongoing efforts to control the bird population and maintain urban cleanliness.
