Yasin Sulaiman freed after four years of treatment, says he lost hope
Malaysian composer and singer Yasin Sulaiman said he lost hope and thought it better to be hanged after being sentenced to 30 years in prison. After about four and a half years of treatment including at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, he was released on 2 September on conditions to continue medication and avoid cannabis.

Awie promises 35 songs, five bands at Stadium Merdeka this Saturday
The Awie Rock King - Last Man Standing 2026 concert will be held at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur this Saturday. Awie said the show features five segments with about 35 songs from five different bands he has played with, plus a line-up of top Malaysian musicians and artists. Rehearsals began about a month ago at MyStudio Sungai Buloh to ensure a tight performance.
