Fire at Pengkalan Weld destroys five premises, including 30-year-old car paint shop

An early morning fire at Pengkalan Weld, Georgetown, destroyed five business premises including a car paint shop that had been operating for 30 years. The owner, Hong Ching Leong, 60, said everything was destroyed, including three customer cars. The fire also affected a car workshop, a welding shop, a junk shop and a timber factory.
