500 Sabah youths join US Embassy-backed football clinic in Kota Kinabalu

A three-day football clinic for 500 young players aged 8 to 15 began on Sept 1 at Fut8 Arena Sembulan in Kota Kinabalu. The Freedom 250 Sabah Football Clinic, supported by ConocoPhillips and the US Embassy, featured former US soccer stars Shannon Boxx, Tony Sanneh and Maren McCrary. Assistant Minister Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun spoke at the closing ceremony, urging participants to apply lessons of discipline and teamwork beyond the field.
