PAS chief claims US embassy asked about PM candidate, offered help to topple govt

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang claimed that a US embassy representative once asked about the party's proposed Prime Minister candidate and offered help to topple the government. He made the claim during his winding-up speech at the 72nd PAS Muktamar in Pengkalan Chepa, Kota Bharu. Takiyuddin Hassan confirmed meeting the embassy representative but did not confirm all details of the alleged conversation.
