PM Anwar: Agriculture funds may rise, but demands transparent management

At the closing of MAHA 2026 in Serdang, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim hinted that allocations for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security could be increased, but stressed the need for transparent and careful management of public funds. He also highlighted the annual RM980 million burden on the government to pay FELDA's debts due to past mismanagement, and announced an additional RM450 million to repair settlers' homes.
