Appeal court doubles woman's jail term to 12 years for fatal Johor hotel stabbing

The Court of Appeal in Johor Bahru increased a young woman's prison sentence from six years and six months to 12 years for fatally stabbing her boyfriend in a hotel room in 2022. The court ruled the original sentence was too lenient, citing the severity of the attack which involved 28 injuries.
