GWM Malaysia to locally assemble Ora 5 HEV and Haval H7 PHEV, exports Wey G9 to Thailand
GWM Malaysia announced at GATE 2026 that the Ora 5 HEV and Haval H7 PHEV will be locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia. The locally assembled Wey G9 is already being exported from Malaysia to Thailand, positioning Malaysia as a key part of GWM's Asean manufacturing network. The Ora 5 HEV is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, while the Haval H7 PHEV is expected in early 2027.
