Muar night market trader jailed 12 years, caned for raping friend's disabled daughter

New Straits Times Muar, Johor

A 49-year-old pasar malam trader in Muar was sentenced to 12 years in jail and three strokes of the rotan after pleading guilty to raping his best friend's 14-year-old disabled daughter. The offence occurred at a house in Muar in March 2024, and the victim later became pregnant.
