MMA seeks independent safety audit and national task force after Long Lellang flying doctor crash
The Malaysian Medical Association has called for independent safety verification of all aircraft, ambulances and boats used for healthcare work after four healthcare workers died in a Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Baram. MMA president Datuk Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo also wants a multidisciplinary national task force to review the entire FDS, Medevac and medical transport system, with findings made public.
