Singapore aid supplies handed over at Kathmandu airport for Nepal flood victims
Singapore's relief supplies for thousands hit by Nepal's flash floods arrived and were handed over at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Thursday. The package, worth about $560,000, includes medical supplies, genomic testing equipment and personal protective gear. Nearly 1,400 people died in the floods and more than 5,000 are missing, while a Singapore MFA rescue team has been in Nepal since Aug 27 searching for nine missing Singaporeans.
