Zahid calls for GST return in Umno policy speech

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged the unity government to reinstate the Goods and Services Tax, rejecting a hybrid GST-SST system. Speaking at the 2026 Umno General Assembly at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, he also addressed Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim as 'guru' and told him to listen to the people.
