Texas judge rules TikTok misled users over child safety filters
A Texas judge ruled that TikTok breached the state's consumer protection law by misleading users about how it filtered content for minors and whether its Restricted Mode blocked inappropriate material. The case, filed by Texas in January 2025, now goes to trial where penalties will be decided.
