JBPM and Health Ministry seek to keep Sarawak interior air-medical service flying
Long Lellang, Ulu Baram: Malaysia's Fire and Rescue Department has stationed two aircraft in Miri to support medical evacuation in the Sarawak interior after a BO-105 helicopter crashed at the end of the Long Lellang airfield runway on Tuesday, killing a pilot and four Health Ministry staff. JBPM and the ministry are weighing operating costs, fuel and maintenance schedules, and the ministry will hold further talks with the armed forces to keep the Flying Doctor Service running.
