Carolan under pressure as Malaysia name Asian Games hockey squad

Malaysia Hockey Confederation wants the national men's team in the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games final, where gold earns a place at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Coach Brendon Carolan named his squad at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday after Malaysia finished last among 16 teams at the World Cup in Belgium. Defender Syed Syafiq Syed Cholan was replaced by Che Nur Aqilrullah Che Khairuzi Anwar due to a hamstring injury.
