Khaw Boon Wan to leave SPH Media Trust chairman post on Oct 1
Khaw Boon Wan will step down as chairman of SPH Media Trust, with CEO Chan Yeng Kit taking over the role from Oct 1, 2026. Khaw said the media operations have stabilised and that Chan, who has a new media and technology background, is well placed to lead the trust through the next general election cycle. The change was agreed with SMT's institutional members and board directors and is subject to regulatory approval.
