Anwar and Putin discuss direct flights, palm oil exports in New Delhi
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim held a roughly 20-minute bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at Hotel ITC Maurya in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit. Talks focused on opening direct flights, visa-free travel, boosting Malaysian palm oil exports to Russia, and a special mechanism to speed up bilateral agreements. Anwar also conveyed greetings from Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and renewed the King's invitation for a state visit to Malaysia.
