Dialysis patient airlifted from Long Lellang to Miri after helicopter crash
A dialysis patient in Long Lellang, Sarawak, was airlifted to Miri Hospital by a Bomba helicopter on Sept 10 after the Long Lellang STOLport closed following a helicopter crash that killed four medical personnel and a pilot. Her family thanked officials including Datuk Gerawat Gala and Miri Division Resident Tuan Galong Luang for arranging the evacuation, saying it shows the importance of the Flying Doctor Service to rural communities.
