Anwar, Putin hold first bilateral talks at BRICS summit in New Delhi
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit in New Delhi. The meeting was Anwar's first bilateral engagement after arriving for the summit, which Malaysia attends as a BRICS partner country. Malaysia and Russia, which have had diplomatic ties since 1967, discussed deepening trade, investment, energy and defence cooperation.
