Anthropic report: Claude AI used for weapons development and espionage
Anthropic said in an investigation report released Thursday that its Claude AI app was used for weapons development, espionage and other illicit online schemes. The company said users based in China used Claude to design electronic warfare against Taiwan, targeting 12 Taiwanese targets including missile batteries and air bases, and that it has banned accounts linked to China's PLA Academy of Military Science. China's foreign ministry said it was unaware of the report and rejected what it called false accusations.
